I understand that moving after many years in a home can be emotional and overwhelming, and I am here to help make the process more manageable.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you contact me. One of the first things we can do is simply talk about your situation, your concerns, and what you would like your next chapter to look like. From there, we can develop a step-by-step plan and identify the professionals and resources that may be helpful. My goal is to help you move forward at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Absolutely. I work with seniors as well as their adult children who are helping their parents navigate a move or are handling an estate. When a parent has lived in the same home for many years, there can be a tremendous amount to consider—what to keep, what to sell or donate, where to move, how to prepare the home, and how to handle the sale. I can help your family understand the process and connect you with trusted professionals when additional support is needed.

Yes. Adult children often contact me because they don't know where to begin or how to help their parents. Often adult children live out of town or have very busy schedules and are not sure how best to help their parents.  I work to communicate with all parties to make sure that everyone is on the same page and things move along smoothly.  I strive to make the process collaborative, respectful, and focused on the needs and wishes of the senior.

Yes. Downsizing is an important part of the work I do with seniors. It can be much more complicated than simply moving from one house to another, particularly when someone has lived in their home for decades. I help clients develop a realistic plan for the transition and can connect them with professionals who specialize in organizing, downsizing, moving, estate services, and other areas that may be needed.

My focus is on the person and the transition, not just the real estate transaction. I have a background in gerontology, years of experience working with seniors, and specialized SRES® and Lifestyle 55plus™ certifications.   I also maintain a network of professionals who understand the unique needs of older adults. This allows me to help clients navigate the many pieces of a move rather than simply listing the house and handing them a set of keys.

Yes. Longtime family homes often contain decades of memories and belongings, so moving can be an emotional process as well as a practical one. I understand that these decisions cannot always be made quickly. I can help your family create a plan, determine what needs to happen before the home goes on the market, and connect you with appropriate professionals to help with the transition.

I can help you and your family think through whether moving makes sense, what preparation might eventually be required, and what choices are available. Starting the conversation early can make a future transition much less stressful.

Yes. I can help you look at the real estate and lifestyle considerations involved in both options. Depending on the situation, staying may make sense, while in other cases a move to a smaller home, condo, retirement community, or 55+ community may provide a better fit. My role is to help you explore the options so you can make an informed decision rather than feeling pressured into one.

Yes. I work with seniors who are considering retirement, active-adult, and 55+ communities. We can discuss what type of lifestyle and housing arrangement may be appropriate for your needs and priorities, and I can assist with the real estate side of the transition, including the sale of your current home.

I can help you understand what needs to be done and create a plan for getting the home ready. I also maintain a network of professionals who work with seniors and can assist with areas such as downsizing, organizing, moving, estate services, repairs, staging and preparing a longtime home for sale. You don't have to coordinate everything on your own.

Yes. When adult children live in another city or province, managing a parent's move can feel especially difficult. I can help provide local guidance, coordinate the real estate process, and help connect your family with trusted local professionals. My goal is to give everyone a clear understanding of what needs to happen and help reduce the burden on the family.

SRES® stands for Seniors Real Estate Specialist®. The designation provides specialized education focused on the real estate needs and concerns of mature adults. I combine my SRES® training with my background in gerontology, experience working with seniors, and Lifestyle 55plus™ certification to provide a more comprehensive approach to senior real estate and later-life transitions.

Yes.  I am honoured to be trusted by families and trustees with the preparation and sale of estate homes.  These sales can be particularly emotional and often require that I take on a project manager role to coordinate trades and services while families and trustees are preoccupied with other matters.
